Built from the official NIH RePORTER ExPORTER annual exports (FY1985–FY2025: projects, publications, link tables, patents, clinical studies) and the official NSF Awards API (modern records 1976–2026 plus migrated historical awards back to 1952), reconciled against NIH RePORTER API official per-FY totals (see pipelines/research_grants).
