Which complaints dominate negative reviews in each app category. Cell values are thecategory-median share of negative reviews mentioning each topic, computed from 802k classified reviews of5,584 apps — mostly Google Play, plus an iOS App Store slice (US storefronts). Google Play covers 44 categories; the iOS view currently covers 3.

How to read this
A dark “billing & subscription” cell means negative reviews in that category are dominated by payment complaints (a monetization-design problem), while a dark “crash & bug” cell points at engineering quality. Product teams use these baselines to judge whether an app's complaint profile is normal for its category or an outlier worth fixing.
